Is That a Body Double of Biden?

Despite a lack of evidence and the ridiculousness of the accusations, a video of President Joe Biden following his trip to Israel has sparked an unusual conspiracy theory online, with many claiming that Biden is using a body double to avoid the trip to Israel.

One user tweeted, "It's obvious that Biden didn't go to Israel. That's not his real chin in the video. Wake up, people!"

This theory has even caught the attention of well-known conspiracy theory website InfoWars, with host Alex Jones claiming that Biden is using a "deepfake" to deceive the public.

However, the video footage from Israel clearly shows President Biden speaking and acting like his usual self, with no noticeable differences in his appearance. That’s either Uncle Joe or one hell of “deepfake.”

Furthermore, the idea that the White House would go through the trouble of hiring a body double and using CGI technology to create a fake president is absurd. But that hasn't stopped some social media users from grabbing onto this theory like a life preserver in a sea of paranoia.

Amid real issues facing our country and the world, it's at the very least interesting to see what occupies the corners of social media gaining momentum and distracting from the important matters at hand.
