Boebert Lampooned in SNL Sketch
An “SNL” sketch from this weekend has sparked a backlash from fans of Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and her supporters, who accuse the show and its writers of using Boebert’s personal life as fodder for their jokes… But for the rest of us, it’s just another satirical jab at the often ridiculed politician.
Boebert, known for her outspokenness and controversial statements, has become a favorite target for late night comedians. And it seems like “SNL” couldn’t resist taking a swipe at her latest public incident.
But it’s not just the skit that has people talking. The “Beetlejuice” musical’s official Twitter account also decided to hilariously weigh in on the situation. They posted a video of the iconic “Day-O (The Banana Boat Song)” scene from the musical with the caption, “We respectfully request that Congresswoman Lauren Boebert not return to “any” of our musicals.”

And Twitter users were quick to join in on the joke, with many commenting on the irony of Boebert’s affinity for musicals despite her reported disruptive behavior.
It seems like Boebert just can’t catch a break, even from the entertainment industry.
