Laura Robinson, lead emergency communications specialist for 911 in Jefferson County, emphasized the importance of recognizing their work. "To be the first first-responder, to answer the panic phone call every time, to experience the rage, the anger, the fear, and the panic.”
While the passage of the bill is a proud moment for Representative Lieder, she acknowledges that there is still progress to be made for these dedicated workers. One area that needs attention is their pay. Increasing their wages will not only help retain skilled personnel but also demonstrate dignity and respect for their crucial contributions.
