Colorado Secretary of State ‘Extremely Concerned’ About Threats

Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold says she’s received an alarming number of threats following a case that could potentially disqualify former President Donald Trump from the state's primary ballot.

Griswold, who has been a vocal critic of Trump, revealed the extent of the threats during several interviews with leftwing media.

In an interview with HuffPost, Griswold stated, "I've been concerned about violence and the threats of violence since Donald Trump incited the insurrection. I've received hundreds if not thousands of threats at this point." The threats she received came after a case was brought by the group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington on behalf of seven voters in Colorado.

According to Griswold, within weeks of the case being filed, she received a shocking 64 death threats and 900 non-lethal threats of abuse.

Griswold emphasized that in her mind, these perceived threats have only reinforced her belief that Donald Trump is a dangerous leader for the country.

Following the Colorado Supreme Court's ruling, Griswold spoke with MSNBC and stated that she is now waiting to see if the U.S. Supreme Court will take up an appeal of the case and how it will unfold. This case has not only put Griswold in the spotlight but has also raised concerns about her safety.

Griswold's decision to raise her own profile as a liberal progressive has made her a target for those who oppose her views. In fact, she requested and received an additional $400,000 for increased personal security from the Colorado legislature several years ago. This decision to maintain a high profile has undoubtedly made her a lightning rod for threats and criticism.
