With what designers call, “a sleek design and multiple control methods, from voice commands to touchpad navigation to projecting a laser display onto your palm.” If they are right, the AI PIN is set to change the way we interact with the world through our devices.
But this is not just another A.I. assistant like Siri or Alexa.
The AI PIN is the first artificially intelligent device, capable of following a conversation from one question to the next without needing explicit context. It can even edit a single word in a dictated message, making correcting errors a thing of the past.
It also includes a sci-fi-inspired laser projection feature, a blast from the blast, giving users an experience straight out of Star Trek.
The AI PIN has a “trust light” feature that blinks when the device is recording, and Humane has stated that it does not sell user data to third parties or use it in training their A.I. models.

With the AI PIN set to hit the market next year, the excitement and anticipation continue to build. And as the first of its kind, Humane hopes to pave the way for an entire ecosystem of companies building features for its operating system – an A.I. version of Apple’s App Store.
Humane will begin shipping the pins next year. It expects to sell around 100,000 pins, which will cost $699 and require a $24 monthly subscription, in the first year.
This ambitious venture from Humane has already drawn comparisons to the first iPod, which, although clunky and limited in function, set the stage for the smartphone revolution.
