The Gruesome Murder of Jews Should be Easily Condemned by Democrats, RIGHT?
As the tragic murders continue to rise in Israel because of Hamas's cowardly attacks, shocking and heartless reactions have surfaced from some left-wing politicians in the United States.
In an act of utter disrespect and disregard for human life, pro-Palestinian demonstrators in New York celebrated the deadly terror attack, while supporters of Israel held mournful rallies.
Not only Israelis are being targeted, but American citizens in Israel have also been taken hostage by Hamas and brought to Gaza, including nine tragic American deaths. Yet, instead of offering support and condolences, leftist politicians in Colorado have shown their true colors with despicable actions and statements on social media and at celebratory rallies on the steps of the state Capitol.
Some of Colorado's political leaders, such as Governor Jared Polis, Attorney General Phil Weiser, and Secretary of State Jena Griswold, who are all Jewish, have taken to social media to express their mourning and outrage over the attack.
However, among the voices of sorrow and condemnation, one newly elected state representative stands out for his shocking support of the terrorists responsible for the vicious attack.
Representative Tim Hernandez, a Marxist who advocates for defunding the police, has not only expressed support for the Hamas attack but has also joined in the pro-Palestinian rally at the state Capitol.
The Colorado Palestinian Coalition held the Denver rally at the Colorado State Capitol on Saturday.
Included in Saturday’s protest organized by the Colorado Palestinian Coalition was newly appointed State House Representative and Marxist Tim Hernandez. The defund-police advocate recently won a vacancy election with just 39 votes.

This is a disgrace and a shame to the entire state of Colorado. Is this the type of representation we want in our government? A man who supports terrorists while his constituents grieve the loss of innocent lives?
There have already been calls for Rep. Tim Hernandez to be censured or reprimanded for his social media comments and actions while so many Coloradans are grieving. Many have described his behavior as callous and unbecoming of a state official.
State House Rep. Lisa Frizell has called on the House Democrats to “formally reprimand Rep. Tim Hernandez. His behavior and support for terrorists is beyond reproach.”
So far the super majority of House Democrats have remained silent concerning Rep. Frizell’s call for a reprimand of Hernandez due to his extreme behavior. The House Democrats have put out only one lackluster comment on social media that has been met with criticism for being weak and not going far enough.
The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) have also come out in support of the Hamas attack, with six members of the Colorado House of Representatives among their ranks:
While data on Palestinians and Palestinian-Americans in Colorado is scant, Colorado is home to about 70,000 Muslims, according to History Colorado.
“We condemn these evil terrorist attacks from Hamas, and fully support Israel’s right to defend themselves and their citizens from these unprovoked and heinous attacks.” Republican Rep. Ken Buck posted on X, the platform formally known as Twitter.
Meanwhile, synagogues across Colorado opened their doors over the weekend to support their congregations. Richard Rheins, senior rabbi for the Temple Sinai in Denver, said in a letter to the congregation posted on Facebook that he and others in the temple have family members in Israel.
“This Palestinian Hamas terror attack was especially close to home for Rabbi Susan Rheins and me as our sons Jakod and Sam are both in Israel,” he wrote in the letter. “The spirit of the Israelis is strong and confident. Still, the loss of life and the horrific suffering is yet another reminder that Israelis are not given the luxury of taking for granted the blessings of peace and tranquility.”
As synagogues open their doors to support their congregations and the Denver Police Department increases patrols around Jewish synagogues, it is clear that the impact of these attacks goes far beyond just the borders of Israel.
The sacredness of human life knows no bounds, and it is our responsibility to condemn these acts of terror and stand with our allies in the face of such heinous acts of violence. The time for action is now, let us not forget the lives lost and the families forever changed by this cowardly attack.
