Texas YouTuber Arrested for Reckless Motorcycle Ride at Excessive Speeds in Colorado

A YouTuber from Texas, accused of recording himself speeding over 150 mph on a motorcycle along a Colorado highway, has been apprehended in his home state.

Rendon Dietzmann, 32, was arrested on February 7 in Denton County, Texas, based on an extraditable warrant issued by the Colorado State Patrol. The El Paso County District Attorney's Office has confirmed that the process of extraditing Dietzmann back to Colorado is currently underway.

According to online arrest records from the Denton County Sheriff's Office, Dietzmann has been charged with assault. This charge is unrelated to the warrant issued for the high-speed incident that occurred on September 28, 2023.

A Texas YouTuber accused of recording himself going more than 150 mph on a motorcycle down a Colorado highway has been arrested in his home state, and the extradition process is underway.

During that incident, Dietzmann allegedly completed the journey between Colorado Springs and the Denver metro area in just 20 minutes on Interstate 25, a route that typically takes an hour.

The Colorado State Patrol shared a now-removed video last month that purportedly showed Dietzmann riding at excessively high speeds, maneuvering through narrow gaps in traffic, and even utilizing the highway shoulder. The footage was allegedly recorded for the purposes of social media content.

Dietzmann, known as Gixxer Brah on YouTube, boasts a channel description that reads, "I like to wheelie... and go fast." With over 250,000 subscribers and nearly 500 videos posted, his channel has gained significant popularity. However, YouTube has previously confirmed the removal of content from Dietzmann's channel, citing their policies that prohibit "harmful or dangerous acts" with a potential risk of severe bodily harm or death.

The charges Dietzmann faces in relation to the speeding incident include menacing, engaging in a speed contest, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, speeding 40 mph over the limit, engaging in an exhibition of speed, and driving without license plates attached.

Colorado State Patrol collaborated with the Dallas Police Department in Texas and the El Paso County District Attorney's Office to identify Dietzmann as the rider in question. He was subsequently arrested at a residence in Justin, Texas.

Dietzmann awaits his extradition to Colorado.
