Congressman Ken Buck has criticized the Biden administration for its stance on funding for Ukraine and the U.S. southern border. Buck, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, expressed his support for aid to both Israel and Ukraine but emphasized the need to address the immediate crisis at the southern border.

In an interview with MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell, Buck highlighted the importance of finding a path to pass immigration reform and provide aid to Ukraine.

Buck suggested using the Ukraine aid as leverage to address the serious crisis at the southern border was the correct path with the Biden administration. He expressed his belief that the White House should be more flexible and open to negotiation instead of firmly sticking to its position.

"I think that the Biden administration could give a little bit more rather than putting its heels in the ground and start a negotiation on where we end up," Buck stated. "I think anything would be an improvement on our southern border."

The ongoing negotiations for funding plans for Ukraine, Israel, and the southern border have faced obstacles, particularly after Republicans blocked an aid package to Ukraine recently. Lawmakers are working towards finding common ground and reaching a consensus on these crucial issues.

They argue that while aid to Ukraine and Israel is important, the immediate challenges on the home front should not be overlooked.
