NFIB Launches Issue Campaign to Stop Prop. HH

The nation’s leading small business association today announced the launch of a Colorado issue campaign aimed at stopping Proposition HH, the November ballot measure offering temporary property tax relief in exchange for the eventual elimination of TABOR refunds.

The issue campaign will include radio ads in select Colorado markets, digital ads, and a landing page with more information, where you can also access the radio ad. The landing page can be read here. To go directly to the radio ad, click here.

“We’re calling out Proposition HH for what it really is, a bait-and-switch, offering a temporary property tax cut but undoing TABOR refunds,” said Tony Gagliardi, Colorado state director for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), which produced the campaign.

“Colorado’s small business owners have trusted the Taxpayer Bill of Rights (TABOR) for 30 years to return some of their hard-earned money back to them,” said Gagliardi. “When we surveyed our members, 90% of them opposed Prop. HH. They’re just not buying the deal.”
