The Denver Zoo has finally put an end to the mystery surrounding the paternity of their adorable 4-month-old Sumatran orangutan, Siska, thanks to the help of retired talk show host Maury Povich.

In an announcement, reminiscent of his famous paternity reveals on his daytime talk show, Povich unveiled the father's identity this week.

After months of speculation, the Denver Zoo took to social media to build up anticipation for the big reveal. "Is Siska's father 30-year-old Berani or 16-year-old Jaya?" they teased on X.

The question lingered in the minds of zoo patrons, who eagerly awaited the announcement.

On Tuesday, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived. Povich, dressed in a tuxedo and fresh off receiving the Daytime Emmys Lifetime Achievement honor, held a large manila envelope containing the paternity results. With great flair, he opened the envelope and made the announcement.

"Berani, you are the father!" exclaimed Povich, as if he were revealing the results of a high-stakes human paternity test.

The video captured the excitement of the moment, as zoo staff erupted in applause upon hearing the news. The camera quickly panned to Berani's enclosure, where he swung around, seemingly celebrating his newfound fatherhood.

The Denver Zoo staff gathered together, confirming that Berani is indeed the proud father.

Zoo patrons had been eagerly asking about the father's identity since September. However, the zoo had delayed conducting a paternity test to allow the mother-daughter pair, Siska and Eirina, ample time to bond.

The zoo's animal care team had expressed in a Facebook post that they wouldn't be able to conduct the test until next year at the earliest.
