Condemnation for Hernandez Coming from Bronco Country
The controversy surrounding newly appointed Colorado state Rep. Tim Hernández continues to stir outrage among many, with even sports figures speaking out against his recent actions and statements.
Hernández, who clarified that he was rallying for support of Palestinians and not for Hamas at an event on the West Steps of the Colorado State Capitol, was met with widespread criticism after Hamas militants committed heinous acts of violence against innocent Israelis.

Even the world of sports has joined in on the criticism, with former Denver Broncos player Brandon Ray Stokley speaking out against Hernández. Stokley played for the Broncos from 2007 to 2010 and is well-known for a memorable play in the team's 2009 season opener.

Stokley's post quickly gained traction on social media, with many Broncos fans expressing their support for his stance against Hernández's actions. Many noting that Hernandez was appointed by only 39 votes of a vacancy committee.
In the midst of this growing backlash, potential challengers for Hernández's seat have begun to emerge. Among them is a former schoolteacher and member of Denver's Jewish community, who took to social media to voice her concerns. Referring to Hernández's actions as "hate" and calling for change, she wrote, "Colorado is a loving place. We cannot let this hate stand."
