Boebert’s Officially a Single Woman

After 17 years of marriage, U.S. Rep Lauren Boebert has officially finalized her divorce with husband Jayson Boebert. The dissolution hearing, which took place before a magistrate in Denver on Tuesday, was relatively brief. However, the Boeberts' heated shouting and a crying baby could be heard from behind the closed doors of the courtroom.
The couple, who have four sons together, came to an agreement that their marriage was "irretrievably broken." This decision was made with the guidance of Rep. Boebert's attorney, Annie Le Fleur. Le Fleur also stated that her client will not be seeking child support, which could have amounted to over $1,800 a month.
Court documents obtained by DailyMail.com show that Lauren was asking for $7,228 in monthly spousal support and $1,833 in child support which magistrate Katherine Barnes accepted.
Although the divorce itself may have gone unnoticed by the public, recent controversies surrounding Rep. Boebert are making reelection more difficult for the Republican lawmaker.
In September, Boebert was caught on theater surveillance footage vaping, being disruptive, and engaging in inappropriate behavior with a date during a performance of "Beetlejuice." This incident has drawn attention and criticism from high-profile Republicans, causing some to rescind their previous support for Boebert.
In a statement addressing her behavior at the theater, Boebert cited her ongoing divorce as a contributing factor. She stated, "There's no perfect blueprint for going through a public and difficult divorce," and that it has been a challenging time for her and her family.
Boebert's book, "My American Life," details her marriage to Jayson Boebert, which began after they met while she was working at a Burger King in Rifle. Before they married, Jayson had pleaded guilty to public indecency after allegedly exposing himself to two girls. However, with Lauren's defense, the charges were ultimately dropped.
Since then, Jayson Boebert has made headlines again for allegedly threatening his neighbors after they complained about his sons speeding around on an ATV. These events, along with the recent divorce and the incident at the theater, have led to speculation about Boebert's chances for reelection in 2024.
Despite narrowly winning reelection in 2022, defeating Democratic challenger Adam Frisch by only 546 votes, Boebert is facing a tough fight in the next election.
In addition to Frisch, she is also being challenged by a handful of Republican primary contenders, including Grand Junction attorney Jeff Hurd, who has already gained the support of Mesa County commissioners Cody Davis and Bobbie Daniel.

It remains to be seen how these controversies and difficulties surrounding Boebert's personal life will impact her role as a U.S. representative and her chances for reelection. But one thing is for certain, Boebert is facing a tough battle ahead.
