Boebert underwent surgery for a blood clot in her leg on Tuesday, her campaign team says

Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert underwent emergency surgery Tuesday to remove a blood clot in her upper left leg, according to a statement released by her campaign.
Boebert was admitted to UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies on Monday after experiencing severe swelling. Doctors diagnosed her with May-Thurner Syndrome, a rare condition that disrupts blood flow. The surgery, which involved removing the clot and inserting a stent, was “successfully completed” on Tuesday morning according to the statement.
Boebert's campaign statement reassured the public that she is expected to make a full recovery with no significant concerns for her long-term health. They also emphasized that her ability to perform her duties as a Congresswoman will not be hindered. Despite facing this medical setback, “Boebert remains determined to continue fighting for Colorado.”
This new health challenge come at a difficult time for Boebert as she plans to jump congressional districts.
In December, the congresswoman announced her decision to move from Colorado's 3rd congressional district to the more conservative 4th district following the resignation of Rep. Ken Buck. This move poses its own set of challenges as Boebert seeks reelection in the new district.
Furthermore, Boebert's reelection campaign has also been plagued by her family's legal troubles.
Last month, she dropped a restraining order against her ex-husband, Jayson, whom she had accused of threatening her and attacking their teenage son during a fight in January. In February, the Rifle Police Department detained their son, Tyler Boebert, in connection with a series of vehicle trespass and property theft incidents in the town.

Despite these challenges, Boebert remains undeterred. She expressed her determination to make a full recovery and return to Congress to continue fighting for the people of Colorado.
Boebert's campaign confirmed that she plans to attend the Republican assembly this weekend, where the candidate for the 4th Congressional District will be chosen to appear on the primary ballot in June.
