Boebert Blames Hollywood for Election Woes, Takes Zero Personal Responsibility

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo) is accusing Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Barbra Streisand for her losing Colorado's 3rd congressional district and forcing her to dump her re-election efforts there, to run in the state's 4th district.

In the 9/10/2023 surveillance video clip -- recorded during a performance of "Beetlejuice,” Boebert's date first reaches over to fondle her right breast, and almost immediately she puts a hand in between his legs.

During an appearance on Steve Bannon's "War Room," Boebert called for a shutdown of what she refers to as "Hollywood elites," who have shown support for her Democratic opponent, Adam Frisch.

In 2022, Frisch lost to Boebert by a slender margin of 546 votes despite the congresswoman’s well publicized MAGA credentials and her massive national fundraising war chest – dollars Boebert has never been shy to spend against challengers.

"We have to shut down the Hollywood elites who are trying to buy my current district. There has been close to $10 million poured into this district to buy this seat," Boebert declared, emphasizing, "Colorado's 3rd District is not for sale."

Boebert specifically targeted Deadpool actor Reynolds and Grammy award-winning singer Streisand, suggesting that their support for her opponent would diminish with her departure from the district. Newsweek reported earlier this month that Reynolds and Streisand were among the celebrities backing Frisch in a potential rematch against Boebert.

Boebert voiced her dissatisfaction with the perceived Hollywood interference, while talking with Steve Bannon, "They do not have policies they are running on, they are simply running against Lauren Boebert. It's not just Aspen that the money is coming from, it's coming from Hollywood."

She continued, "When you have Barbara Streisand donating to the Democrat, when you have Ryan Reynolds donating to the Democrat, it shows you that Hollywood is trying to buy their way into Congress." However, Boebert has failed to express similar concerns about contributions from billionaire businesspeople.

On Wednesday, Boebert made the surprising announcement that she will not seek re-election in her current district, acknowledging a potential loss. "I am going to do everything in my power to represent the 3rd District well for the remainder of this term as I work to earn the trust of grassroots conservative voters in the 4th District to represent them in 2025," she stated.

While it is not uncommon for politicians to face challenges, Boebert's accusations against Hollywood figures seem to deflect from her own responsibilities, poor choices, and obligations to her constituents.
