The holiday shopping season is officially in full swing as retailers gear up for the biggest shopping day of the year: Black Friday.

This year, the sales are starting earlier and will continue throughout Thanksgiving week, with retailers hoping to entice consumers who are feeling the effects of rising prices due to inflation.

One major change this year is that Walgreens will also be closed on Thanksgiving for the first time in its history. This decision aligns with the trend of giving employees time off to spend with their families on the holiday.

Amazon has announced that they will have Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals from November 17-27. In addition, all customers will be able to watch the first-ever Black Friday NFL game, streaming for free on Prime Video. The game will feature the New York Jets taking on the Miami Dolphins.

Other retailers are also getting in on the early sales. Best Buy's Black Friday sale started on November 17 and JCPenney will be giving away coupons to early shoppers on November 24Kohl's kicked off their Black Friday sale at 12:01am CT on Sunday, with additional deals being added on Thanksgiving and continuing through Black Friday.

Lowe's has extended their Black Friday sale throughout the month of November, with additional deals and doorbusters from November 23-29. Macy's will also have a Black Friday sale from November 19-25, followed by their Cyber Monday sale on November 26-27.

Target, however, is saving their best deals for last. Their final Black Friday sale of the year begins on Sunday and features a 70-inch television for a low price of $299.99. They have also been holding weekly sales since late October, with a holiday price match guarantee in place in case prices drop even lower.

For those who prefer to shop in-store, Walmart's second Black Friday sale will start on November 22 at 3pm ET and in stores on November 24. Exclusive access to the sale will be given to Walmart+ members starting at noon ET.
